Becoming a Flag Football Coach  

Non-Training Requirements 

All Coaches must have a comprehensive background check, including a Criminal Record Check completed within the last 3 years. If you have already met this requirement, please download and submit an Annual Declaration Form stating your background check is clear and less than 3 years old. All submissions can be sent to khoeppner@bluebombers.com

Training Requirements  

Step 1: Register as a coach with the Winnipeg Football Club and Football Manitoba

Step 2: Complete the online Respect in Sport Training  

• To Register Visit: https://sportmanitoba.respectgroupinc.com/koala_final/ 

• If you are new to this training create an account, otherwise login  

• Complete the 2–3-hour course online

Step 3: Receive an NCCP Number from Football Manitoba & Create your account 

• After completing the registration form, if you have noted that you do not have an NCCP number, one will be sent to your email in the following weeks.
• You will then be able to log in at thelocker.coach.ca/ with your new NCCP number.

Step 4: Complete the “Making Headway in Football ” & “The Rule of Two” training on the NCCP website.

• Complete the two online courses noted above on https://thelocker.coach.ca/

Step 5: Complete a background check  

• If you do not have an up-to-date background check, you will receive an invite to your email from the Winnipeg Football Club to complete one.

Step 6: Attend a Coaching Clinic  

• The Coaching Clinic will be hosted by the Winnipeg Football Club at Princess Auto Stadium. Keep an eye out for more information in your email.
