2024: Blue Bombers

Schoen was limited to just three games in 2024 after suffering a season-ending knee injury in a loss to the B.C. Lions. Over those two-plus contests, Schoen pulled in 14 passes for 159 yards.

He signed a one-year contract to remain with the club on February 1, 2025.

2023: Blue Bombers

Schoen followed up his outstanding rookie CFL season with another stellar campaign in 2023, finishing with 71 receptions for 1,222 yards and 10 touchdowns. Those totals ranked third in the league in yardage, first in receiving touchdowns and third in second-down conversion catches with 30.
In 34 games over 2022-23, Schoen racked up 141 receptions for 2,663 yards and 26 touchdowns while being named a West Division and CFL All-Star in each season.

2022: Blue Bombers

Schoen’s rookie season was one of the most prolific in CFL history. He led the league with 1,441 receiving yards on 70 receptions and also tied for the lead in touchdowns with 16, while being named to the CFL All-Star Team and crowned as the league’s Most Outstanding Rookie.

Schoen didn’t just lead the CFL in receiving yardage and set a record for most touchdowns by a first-year Blue Bomber with 16 TDs, he also posted the seventh-highest receiving total in club history.

His 1,441 yards ranked behind only Milt Stegall (1,896 in ’02; 1,616 in ’97 and 1,499 in ‘00), James Murphy (1,746 in ’86), Gerald Wilcox (1,624 in ’94) and Eugene Goodlow (1,494 in ’81).

Schoen had offseason workouts with the Las Vegas Raiders, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals during his NFL window before his return in 2023 was confirmed on February 14.

2020-21: L.A. Chargers/Kansas City Chiefs/Washington Football Team

Schoen first signed as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020, but was released following training camp. In 2021, he signed a futures contract with his hometown Kansas City Chiefs and later that year joined Washington’s practice roster. He re-joined the Chiefs in December of 2021, being added to their practice roster.
He signed with the Blue Bombers on April 7, 2022.

College

Schoen was a walk-on at Kansas State, climbing up the depth chart to eventually start as a sophomore and become a key target over his final three years. He finished his college career ranked seventh in school history in yards per reception (17.05) and 15th in career receiving yards (1,569). He finished with 92 receptions for 1,569 yards and nine touchdowns over 34 games from 2017-2019, with his nine TDs averaging 39.4 yards.
He was a 2019 Honorable Mention All-Big 12 and a member of the First Team Academic All-Big 12 from 2017-19.
